Brief career in the Royal Navy, where I painted, drew and generally spent days being an artist when I should have been looking after machinery.

I continued being near the sea with work in boatyards in Plymouth, then sailing yachts. all this time, painting the sea.

I became a teacher, of technology and started to have exhibitions.

Once I retired from teaching, I became a full time artist, painting the ….sea.

Achievements include: Finalist with the Visual Artists Open 2020, a successful artist with the Wales Contemporary 2020, Public choice with St Barbs Open, Lymington, and with Sherborne Open.

Currently exhibit in Beyond the Sea in Polperro, Wildwood Gallery, Honiton, Tincleton Gallery, Dorchester.

My chosen medium is oils, and my hero in seascapes is Montague Dawson and Turner. There are other artists I doff my cap to, but far too many for here.
